Irish four piece Wild Youth consists of David Whelan (vocals/guitar), Conor O’Donohoe (keyboard/vocals), Ed Porter (guitar/vocals) and Callum McAdam (drums).
Best friends from childhood Conor and David have always been making music together but it wasn’t until they met Callumand Ed in early 2016 that Wild Youth was born. Aware of each other from many years of playing in different bands on the Dublin music scene they were eventually drawn together by a mutual love of rock and pop in equal measures. Once together, they went straight into the studio and started working on their vision of creating songs that you’ll want to have with you throughout the day; at home, at work, in the club and in the pub.
All or Nothing:
Wild Youth released their debut single All or Nothing in May of 2017 to critical acclaim. Featuring on Spotify playlists such as New Music Friday U.K and A Perfect Day it amassed over 250,000 streams. Radio success included XFM plays in the UK, KROQ in the US and play-listing by all three music playing nationals in Ireland.
Released on September 8th, the video for Wild Youth’s second single Lose Control amassed over 50,000 views in its first 24 hours and has already broken into the top 20 on the Irish radio play chart, a sure sign of good things to come.
Since their launch in May, Wild Youth have supported Niall Horan, JP Cooper and Picture This as well as playing Irish festivals such as Longitude, Sea-Sessions and Corks’s Indiependence. They played their first headline show in a sold-out Grand Social Theatre in Dublin on September 22nd.
