‘Irish artist Elaine Mai is taking the electronic world by storm’ (Wonderland Magazine)
Since starting out as a solo performer in 2011, Irish artist Elaine Mai has been crafting a reputation for atmospheric and melodic electronic music, not just as a result of her meticulously crafted EPs, her sublime remixes and her frequent collaborations with other producers, but also for her ever-evolving critcially acclaimed live performances. This will never change; artists like Elaine Mai strive for perfection.
Her latest EP, The Colour Of The Night, is a cathartic piece of work which centres around the common human experiences of grief and hope. Her tour in support of the release of the EP saw her wow audiences at the likes of Body & Soul and Electric Picnic, where her remix of Chris Issak’s Wicked Game was named song of the Festvial by The Irish Times Culture.
While the primary focus in recent time has been the new EP, this hasn’t prevented Elaine from collaborating with artists such as Daithi, Liza Flume and TemperMental MissElaynous, on her own work, or as a highly sought after remixer, producer and vocalist. Her work speaks for itself, firmly establishing her place in the great canon of Irish electronic music.
