We genuinely went through 100’s of clips of music. The count was around 500. It was intense but also really really hard to narrow it down. After a team of Sea Sessions people listened to the 100’s of clips they sent on around 50 to the Sea Sessions head booker and Festival Director Ray O’Donoghue. He then narrowed it down to 13. Gave it a few days narrowed that down to 6 and then played them to 2 more judges to come up with the final 2. Really difficult decision. “I was actually blown away by how much talent there is out there especially this year.
You know we could open a new stage at the Festival and nobody would be disappointed. With so many entries we felt it wouldn’t be right to just offer one slot so we have 2 Unsigned slots this year. One each day on the Main Stage”There you go. Huge congratulations to ETAIN (18 year old Singer Songwriter from Leitrim) and WOLFF (Hard Blues / Rock from Wexford). Let’s hope there’s many more festivals and gigs on the horizon for them. Have a gander and a listen to who made it into the last 13 and final 6. A talented bunch we’re sure you’ll agree!!!
