The Barefoot Expression Session in association with Billabong
The Barefoot Expression Session in association with Billabong will be held in Bundoran during the Sea Sessions festival from the 29th June till the 1st July and is again sanctioned by ASP Europe. The Event will have a 3 day waiting period from the friday till the sunday. The Event has a limited entry and no entry on the day is allowed. The Expression Session is structured to allow it to run in 2 hours to maximise the chances to get the best tides/waves etc. The Event is also mobile but the main areas will be Tullan Strand, The Peak, Inside left and Main Beach. The Expression session is also judged on best Move/wave depending on conditions allowing the surfers to go as hard as possible and to bust as big as big a moves as possible. The Expression sessions will showcase not only the top surfers in Ireland but will pit the top Irish surfers up against the top European surfers. The ASP coming to town will allow local surfers the chance to gain international recognition. There is €3000 cash up for grabs at the Event as well as an Indo boat trip with www.tradewindadventures.com for the best Irish Surfer at the Event. On the Saturday we will be running a Retro event which will be more based on style than explosive moves. The Retro Event will use boards inspired by 70′s and 80′s designs and will aim to find the most graceful surfer. Seasessions will provide the boards and the surfers will have to draw lots to see who rides what. Cork
We are running a Retro Event in Cork on saturday 5th May with our local partners Incide surf shop. The Retro event will be similar to the event at seasessions and will have €500 prize money as well as spot prizes and VIP tickets to the Sea sessions up for grabs. We are aiming at a fun event and will again be rewarding the most stylish surfers. The Redbull Dodge will be on hand to provide tunes and Barefoot wines will be suppling some wine tasting for those old enough and not surfing and organising a beach clean up. Lahinch
The day after on the 6th May we travel north to Lahinch and will run an expression session with Emerald Surf our local partners. This event will be similar to the Sea sessions event with the Best move/wave winning the Event. There is €500 up for grabs as well as Wild Card slots at Seasessions’s ASP event. This Event is currently FULL.
