FAQs
How do I get to play at Sea Sessions?
Each year this is one of the most frequently asked questions. We’d love to have everyone play, but it’s just not possible.
If you are an Irish band that’s trying to break through to the big time, consider signing up to the Red Bull Bedroom Jam, see our ‘band battle’ section of the website for more info.
Other Bands/artists can apply to play through our email address info@seasessions.com and they will be passed on to the relevant booking agents that work for Sea Sessions.
I’m only 17 – can I go to Sea Sessions?
Sea Sessions is an over 18′s event. We surf with a lot of groms that are under 18 and want to ensure they can enjoy the event. But we ain’t your mammy and our first concern is for your safety. If you are under 18 and want to attend you MUST be accompanied by a legal guardian, be signed in by them and vacate the site at 10pm. See our ‘Family Friendly’ policy below.
How do I get to the event site?
Sea Sessions is based on the Main beach in the centre of Bundoran – you can’t miss it, just follow the sound of the music and the waves. There is a map below with directions to both the event site and campsites.
Where is Bundoran?
Bundoran is in south Donegal – 5km from Ballyshannon and 37km from Sligo, which has national rail links and an airport.
Direct buses from Dublin will be coming to the event see the ‘getting there’ section of the website for further updates. For more detailed directions from cities & major towns please check out the getting there page.
Can I buy one day tickets?
We are only selling weekend tickets currently.
There is very limited availability of Day tickets released closer to the date of the event. Please note day tickets are usually priced at 60% to 70% of weekend ticket price, so there’s no big saving.
Can I stay on the campsite if I don’t have a concert ticket?
No the camp sites provided are only for ticket holders attending Sea Sessions. We are strict about this.
Is there food on site?
There are a wide variety of on site vendors at Sea Sessions who have been hand picked to ensure a cross section of quality food from organic meat to vegetarian options.
Can you recommend accommodation in town?
There are numerous accommodation options in Bundoran aside from the festival’s campsite. These range from four star Hotels to luxury self catering holiday homes to surf hostels and approved B&B’s. Sea Sessions has a number of ‘approved accommodation providers’ which we are happy to stand over as offering excellent value and comfort – please see the Accommodation section of the website.
What activities are actually on the site?
Sea Session event site will be hosting a skate board event , a mountain biking tricks demonstration, BMX freestyle ramps and a Surf Event. Ancillary off site events will include a tag rugby competition, beach Olympics and beach soccer. See Activities section of this site for more info.
