With so much on over the weekend it’s impossible to narrow it down. We’ve done our own little mini previews though to give you a better idea…. excited much? You better believe it !

Beat Boxer, Comedian, Solo Artist. Imagine a beat boxer making up live cutting edge electronic tunes on the spot. He’s played at Urban Festival, Comedy Festivals and Sea Sessions. He’s going on at 7pm Friday night. One that cannot be missed. Seriously!!!
Northern Ireland hard rockers Therapy? amazingly formed in 1989. They’re still going strong and have been touring and releasing music to their loyal following since then. Expect a Punk Rock attitude with some great songs thrown in.
MR SCRUFF: DESPERADO
Sea Sessions new best friend. He did a lovely drawing for us. Mr Scruff will be playing one of his legendary 4 hour sets. Expect, Funk, Reggae, Breakbeats, Electronica and maybe even Chas and Dave.
DUKE SPECIAL: VODAFONE
Northern Ireland Melody king and writer of a couple of classics is really excited to get in front of the Sea Sessions crowd. Everybody knows his whopper hit “Freewheel”.
Soak or Bridie and she’s known to her by her Mam was born in Belfast but grew up in Derry . She learned to play the guitar at the age of 14 and has since performed at Belfast Custom House Square, Glasgowbury, several other venues and even supported Snow Patrol n the Belfast Waterfront Hall. On the rise big time.
FAT FREDDYS DROP: MAIN
New Zealand’s finest musical export, seven piece, Fat Freddy’s Drop combine Reggae with Soul, Funk with Roots and even a sprinkling of Hypnotic Electronic Grooves. Their live performances are especially powerful and legendary. They are known to improvise songs from their studio albums and beyond. According to the band no two shows are alike… Bring it on!!
THE STRYPES : MAIN
They played Sea Sessions last year and went down a storm. This time they’re back on The Main Stage. Blues with a hint of Rock ‘n’ Roll. They’ve come a long way. Jools Holland, Glastonbury and worldwide tours. We can’t wait for their set on Saturday night. They are smashing festivals all over Europe at the mo’.
DJ YODA: MAIN
Mixing up Hip- Hop with anything. He’s been known to throw in some Country and Western. His Visual shows are stuff of legends and he’ll be finishing off the Main Stage on Saturday night with the help of two massive screens.
DELTA HEAVY: DESPERADO
Dub Step and Drum and Bass Bizness of a Saturday night. Signed to Ram Records and definitely in the “Smash It” category. These guys will rock Saturday night. In fact we hope we can keep the roof on!!!
THE MILK: MAIN
The Guardian described them as “The Jam doing Stax” this British four piece from Essex have real soul flavours. They embrace Motown, Stax and Trojan. Music and record labels that they’d grown up with. “(All I wanted Was) Danger” encompasses these sounds and has the real feel of a Summer anthem.
THE MINUTES : VODAFONE
Our fav’ Dublin Rock ‘n’ Rollers. This is their 3rd time back. Maybe there’s a clue there. Live shows are amazing and another on the up and up!
RAGLANS : VODAFONE
The lads played a blinder at our Expression Session. They’ve just re-released “Digging Holes” in the UK and we know that things are gonna happen for them in a big way. Ones to watch!
XAVIER RUDD: MAIN
Xavier Rudd plays up to 15 Instruments live. He’s an Aussie that’s a big hit on the festival circuit over this side of the world. His acoustic tunes and uplifting melodies should go down a treat. He’s also a keen surfer to boot. He’s on pretty early on Sunday so make sure you catch his set!
AEROPLANE : DESPERADO
Half Italian Half Belgium Vito is a House / Disco DJ on the top of his game. His “Paris” remix of Friendly Fires put him on the map. His Sunday night DJ set could be one of the highlights of the festival.
ORIGINAL RUDEBOYS : MAIN
The Original Rudeboys play an infectious brand of acoustic Hip-Hop. They sold out 2 shows in Dublin’s Olympia playing to 3000 people. They also supported The Script throughout Europe. One on the up and up. Big set for them Sunday night!!!
RENEGADE BRASS BAND : MAIN
A 12 piece brass outfit that use an MC and DJ too. A friend of ours from London was so blown away by them that he told us we needed to book them for Sea Sessions. One that we’re really looking forward to.
LA GALAXIE : VODAFONE
“Is there a better Electro Pop act in the country right now.? NO” so says The Irish Times. Says it all really. Cracking live outfit. They will smash it!!!
GILES PETERSON : MAIN
Legendary DJ that still has a huge following on BBC Radio 6. Expect a mixture of Latin, House, Jazz, Afro and anything else you’re having. We’ve been assured this will not be a mellow set! Aaah… Sunday night bizness!
GREG WILSON : DESPERADO
Ok, so Legend is probably overused but Greg Wilson really is one. He started DJ’ing in 1975, gave up after the 80′s and then started again by Re-Editing classic Disco tunes. I guess he started the whole re-Edit scene. Expect him to play classic tunes mixed up in his own truly unique style. One not to be missed.
MUD MORGANFIELD : VODAFONE
Muddy Waters Son and all the way from Chicago. Mud is blues royalty. He’s one countless awards in the U.S.A and it really is a great honour to have him at Sea Sessions. “Hoochie Cochie Man” anyone? He’s told us his Mojo is definitely working for this one.
NORMAN JAY : DESPERADO
Known for his Funk and Rare Groove sets right through to his house sets Norman is one of the highlights of the Notting Hill Carnival. Making his return to Sea Sessions he’s going on Sunday afternoon just like he used to at The Big Chill in the UK. You need to get down early on Sunday to hear him. Most likely will be one to remember.
WILLIAM ADAMSON : VODAFONE
One of the more interesting acts. It’s Rob Gallagher of Galliano fame. This is a 2 Piece that mixes Deep Southern American music with Poetry.
