Bad Manners are an English 2-Tone Ska band fronted by Buster Bloodvessel (born in the borough of Hackney), and formed in 1976 at Woodberry Down Comprehensive School, North London, where the members studied. Reportedly, none of the eight members could play any instrument when they started.
They were hugely popular in the 1980’s with the likes of Madness and The Specials. In fact they spent 111 weeks in The UK Singles Charts between 1980 and 1983. Their biggest tunes include “My Girl Lollipop” “Lip Up Fatty” “Can Can” to name a few. Their outlandish frontman Buster Bloodvessel is know for his manic stage shows and huge tongue. He also got banned from Italian TV for Mooning at a gig when told The Pope was watching.
They’re well and truly back and their shows are still full of energy, dancing and proper Ska Business. Who’s doesn’t like Ska?
“Every song had the audience bouncing and pogoing like their lives depended on it.” 13th Floor review.
